About Beengin

Beengin is a technology-based company established in Cordoba, Spain. It was founded in 2014 by three partners, two of them with a Ph.D. in Engineering and Technology, and the third one with a M.Sc. in Computer Science, and two masters (Intelligent Systems and System Control). All partners are with research groups of the University of Cordoba, where they have developed their research activities till date, having published more than 30 papers in high impact journals and international conferences.
José María Castillo-Secilla
José María Castillo-Secilla (@kerberok) graduated from the University of Cordoba in 2008 where he received the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science. Since 2009, he has been with the Computer Architecture, Electronics and Electronics Technology in the University of Córdoba, where he has developed research and teaching tasks in the field of Wireless Sensor Networks. He received the Ph.D. degree in Engineering and Technology from the University of Cordoba in 2013 with a dissertation based on synchronization protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks. He has published more than 18 papers in journals and scientific conferences. He has participated in research projects supported by the Spanish and Andalusian governments as well as transfer works with private companies. Dr. Castillo-Secilla is also a member of the IEEE Computer Society.
Juan Ignacio Jaén
Juan Ignacio Jaén (@jijaen) graduated from the University Oberta of Catalunya in 2011 with a M.Sc. in Computer Science and a M.Eng. in Control Systems. He worked as a researcher for the Universities of Málaga and Córdoba and as IT consultant for the Andalusian Government. His research interests include the development of adaptable visual frameworks for evolutionary computation. He has published 6 papers in journals and scientific conferences. He has also been engaged in 2 research projects supported by the Spanish and Andalusian governments.
Juan Luis Olmo Ortiz
Juan Luis Olmo (jlolmo.com, @zitrolmo) also graduated from the University Oberta of Catalunya where he received the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science. Since 2009, he has been with the Department of Computer Science and Numerical Analysis, the University of Cordoba, where he has developed research and teaching tasks. He received the Ph.D. degree in Engineering and Technology from the University of Cordoba in 2013. His research interests include the application of swarm intelligence and evolutionary computation to data mining. He has published more than 20 papers in journals and scientific conferences. He has also been engaged in 4 research projects supported by the Spanish and Andalusian governments and the European Union. Dr. Olmo is also a member of the IEEE Computer Society.
